What does this fault code mean?
The signal configuration ID in the airbag control module does not match the one sent out by the central electronic module (CEM). One possible reason is that this module was made for another car, for example a used control module with different software or hardware.
Possible causes
- Incorrect configuration ID; the module was not built for this car, for example a used module with different software or hardware
What you can do
- 1Erase the code with a diagnostic tool and see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop confirm that the control module is intended for this car and load the latest software into it if needed
- 3If the fault remains after programming, have a workshop replace the airbag control module
- 4After programming or replacement, switch the ignition off, switch it on again and check whether the code is gone
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all work on the control module
