- Faulty software in the airbag control module
- The car's configuration file is incorrect
- Damaged central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read out the fault codes in the car with a diagnostic tool and erase the code
- 2Have a workshop load new software into the airbag control module and, if the fault remains, into the central electronic module (CEM)
- 3Have a workshop confirm that the module is intended for this particular car, since a module from another car can cause the code
- 4After programming, switch the ignition off for a while, switch it on again and see whether the code returns
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all checks and work
