What does this fault code mean?
The airbag control module has registered an internal fault. The fault may come from a damaged module or from a software fault inside it. It normally requires the module to be replaced.
Possible causes
- Damaged airbag control module
- Software fault in the control module
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop reload the module with the latest software and see whether the fault clears
- 2Switch the ignition off, switch it on again and see whether the code returns
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the airbag control module
- 4When replacing, the accelerometer (IMU) must be calibrated, which a workshop does
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all work on the module
