What does this fault code mean?
The airbag control module has registered an internal fault that may be linked to the power supply or to a damaged module. The fault may come back when the battery voltage is poor, and then the battery and alternator should be checked first.
Possible causes
- Damaged airbag control module
- Power supply problems
What you can do
- 1Erase the code, switch the ignition off for a while and then on again
- 2If the code keeps returning, the battery voltage may be too low: have a workshop check the battery and alternator
- 3If the code is still set after that, have a workshop replace the airbag control module
- 4When replacing, the accelerometer (IMU) must be calibrated, which a workshop does
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all checks and work
Symptoms you may notice2
- Text message in the display
