SRS-U300362 - Battery Voltage. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal compare failure
System

Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The airbag system compares its own system voltage with the voltage in the central electronic module (CEM), and the code is set when the difference stays too large for a longer period. It only needs action if it has been active for a long time while driving and the car has lost functions; otherwise it can be erased.
Possible causes
- A short-circuit to ground in the supply cable
- Contact resistance or oxidation at the connections
- Damaged alternator
- Damaged battery
What you can do
- 1Erase the code and see whether it returns after a few drives; if it was brief and the car works normally, no further action is needed
- 2If the car has lost functions, have a workshop check the battery's condition and that its terminals are tight
- 3Have a workshop check the alternator's charging function and the battery voltage
- 4Have a workshop check the voltage supply and ground connections to the airbag module and the CEM for short-circuits and contact resistance
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all wiring and control module checks
