Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
2 modelsV40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns a comparison fault on the airbag system's own voltage input A. The cause may be a blown fuse, poor contact or a problem in the central electronic module (CEM).
Possible causes
- Blown fuse
- Contact resistance or oxidation at the connections
- The fault cause may lie in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Erase the code and see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the fuses for the supply voltage in the engine compartment fuse box and in the central electronic module (CEM)
- 3Have a workshop check the connections to the airbag module for poor contact and corrosion
- 4If the fault is still active, have a workshop fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM)
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all wiring and control module checks
