What does this fault code mean?
The subwoofer control module compares its own supply voltage with the reference in the CEM (central electronic module), and the supply is too low. The cause may be a supply wire with contact to ground (the car body), and the bass speaker can then stop producing sound.
Possible causes
- Short to ground in the power supply wire
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the audio system are intact
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the power supply wire to the bass speaker control module has no contact with ground (the car body)
- 3Check the connector to the bass speaker control module for loose, corroded or chafed wires
- 4Clear the code and test-drive with the audio system on to see whether it returns
Symptoms you may notice2
- Other audio problems in the car's sound system
- No sound from the bass speaker
