What does this fault code mean?
No signal comes from the acceleration sensor on the right front shock absorber. The sensor gives the suspension control module information about the vertical movement of the wheel, so that information is missing.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal cable
- Open circuit in the ground lead
- The signal cable has contact with the power supply cable
- Poor contact in the connections
- Defective acceleration sensor
What you can do
- 1Check the connectors at the sensor and at the control module for loose, corroded or chafed wires
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal and ground leads from the sensor on the right front shock absorber are continuous, meaning there is no break
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read live data for the right front sensor; if the value is missing or does not change at all, the signal is absent
- 4Check that the suspension system fuses are intact; the owner's manual shows where they are
- 5If the wiring is intact, the sensor is probably defective. Have a workshop replace it
