What does this fault code mean?
No signal comes from the body acceleration sensor at the left front corner. It is one of three sensors that register the vertical movement of the body, so the suspension control module lacks that information.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the ground lead
- Open circuit in the signal cable
- The signal cable has contact with the power supply cable
- Poor contact in the connections
- Defective acceleration sensor
What you can do
- 1Use a multimeter to check that the ground and signal leads to the body sensor at the left front are intact
- 2Check the connectors at the sensor for loose, corroded or chafed wires
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read live data for the body sensor at the left front; if the value is missing, the signal is absent
- 4Check that the suspension system fuses are intact; the owner's manual shows where they are
- 5If the wiring is intact, the sensor is probably defective. Have a workshop replace it
