What does this fault code mean?
The signal from the body acceleration sensor at the right front corner is too low. It is one of three sensors that register the vertical movement of the body, so the suspension control module receives incorrect information about the body.
Possible causes
- Short to ground in the signal cable
- A break, or a ground fault, in the supply wire to the sensor
- Poor contact in the connections
- Defective acceleration sensor
What you can do
- 1Check the connectors at the body sensor at the right front for loose or oxidised connections
- 2Check the wiring to the body sensor at the right front for chafing and crushed sections
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read live data for the body sensor at the right front and see whether the value changes when the car rocks
- 4Check that the suspension system fuses are intact; the owner's manual shows where they are
- 5If the wiring is intact, the sensor is probably defective. Have a workshop replace it
