What does this fault code mean?
A value did not match during calibration of the rear position sensors. The car may be loaded or lifted off the ground, or the cable to the position sensor may be open, the sensor may be installed wrongly or be defective, or the control module may have an internal fault.
Possible causes
- Car is loaded or lifted off the ground
- Open circuit in the cable to the position sensor
- Position sensor installed incorrectly
- Defective position sensor
- Internal fault in the suspension control module (SUM)
What you can do
- 1Remove luggage and passengers, fill the fuel tank and park on level ground, since a loaded car can give a wrong calibration reading
- 2Check the connectors at the suspension control module and at the rear position sensors for looseness or corrosion
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the cable to the rear position sensor is not broken, with the ignition switched off
- 4Have a workshop confirm both rear position sensors are fitted in the correct position
- 5If the wiring is sound: have a workshop try a new position sensor and calibrate again
