What does this fault code mean?
On the first ignition cycle the suspension control module (SUM) reads the car's configuration from the central electronic module (CEM). If the configuration does not match, for example because a module or CEM from another car model has been fitted, the fault code is stored and Four-C is switched off.
Possible causes
- A suspension control module from another car model has been fitted
- Software for another car model has been loaded into the suspension control module
- A central electronic module (CEM) from another car model has been fitted
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first, since a fault there can also affect the suspension
- 2Read and clear the fault code in the suspension control module and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3If either module has been fitted from another car: have a workshop check that they suit this model and load the correct software if needed
