What does this fault code mean?
The suspension control module (SUM) has lost its data link to the central electronic module (CEM) over the CAN network. Four-C does not work while the fault remains.
Possible causes
- Communication fault in the CAN network
- Defective suspension control module (SUM)
- Defective central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the connectors at the suspension control module and at the CEM are firmly seated and not corroded
- 2Read and clear the fault codes, then road test the car to see whether the fault returns
- 3If it returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the CAN network and both control modules
