What does this fault code mean?
The suspension control module (SUM) has lost its data link to the engine control module (ECM) on the CAN network. Four-C does not work while the fault remains, and its control is switched off.
Possible causes
- Communication fault in the CAN network
- Defective suspension control module (SUM)
- Defective engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault codes, then road test the car to see whether the fault returns
- 2Check that the connector at the suspension control module is firmly seated and not corroded
- 3If it returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the CAN network and the control modules
