What does this fault code mean?
The suspension control module (SUM) has lost its data link to the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) on the CAN network. Four-C is switched off until the link is restored.
Possible causes
- Communication fault in the CAN network
- Defective suspension control module (SUM)
- Defective steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault codes, then road test the car to see whether the fault returns
- 2Do not work on the steering control system or the steering wheel angle sensor yourself; have a workshop check the SAS and the communication
- 3If it returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the CAN network and both control modules
