What does this fault code mean?
The suspension control module (SUM) has lost its data link to the central electronic module (CEM), so signals no longer reach the SUM. Four-C is switched off while the fault code remains.
Possible causes
- Communication fault in the CAN network
- Defective suspension control module (SUM)
- Defective central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault codes, then road test the car to see whether they return
- 2If the fault returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment look at the CEM and the CAN network, since both modules need checking
- 3If you have your own diagnostic tool: read the codes in the CEM first, as they may give a clue
