What does this fault code mean?
The suspension control module (SUM) is receiving no signals from the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS), so data between them is cut off. Four-C does not work while the fault remains.
Possible causes
- Communication fault in the CAN network
- Defective suspension control module (SUM)
- Defective steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault codes, then road test the car to see whether the fault returns
- 2Do not work on the steering control system or the steering wheel angle sensor yourself; have a workshop check the SAS and the communication
- 3If it returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the CAN network and both control modules
