What does this fault code mean?
The suspension control module (SUM) calculates the temperature of the left front damper solenoid by measuring its resistance. If the temperature becomes too high, the fault code is stored and Four-C is limited.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
- Hard driving
- Damaged solenoid
What you can do
- 1Avoid driving hard for long periods, as this heats up the damper solenoid
- 2Check that the connector at the left front damper is firmly seated and not oxidised
- 3Read the fault status after the test drive to see whether the fault remains
- 4If the fault remains: have a workshop measure the solenoid resistance and replace the solenoid if needed
