Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
7 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The suspension control module (SUM) monitors the voltage to the right front damper solenoid and has found it too low. The causes are a supply to the solenoid that is short-circuited to ground, or a damaged solenoid. Four-C is switched off.
Possible causes
- Power supply to the solenoid is short-circuited to ground
- Damaged solenoid
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code and check its fault status after a test drive
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the right front damper solenoid has no contact with ground (the body), with the ignition switched off
- 3If the wire is sound: have a workshop measure the solenoid resistance and replace the solenoid if needed
Symptoms you may notice2

- Four-C does not work
What the fault can affect1
