Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The suspension control module (SUM) receives a signal from the height sensor at the left front wheel that has too high a voltage. The height sensor tells the SUM the body's position, so when the signal is wrong the Four-C function is switched off.
Possible causes
- The signal cable from the height sensor is short-circuited to voltage
- Damaged height sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the relevant fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual
- 3Inspect the cable from the height sensor at the left front wheel for chafing, pinching and loose clips, especially where it moves with the suspension
- 4Check that the connector at the height sensor is secure and free from corrosion
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool: follow the height sensor signal in live data and see whether the value changes when the front of the car is pressed down and released
- 6If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the height sensor and the wiring
