What does this fault code mean?
The SUM has detected that the configuration on the car's CAN data network does not match what is expected. The fault concerns the exchange of information between the SUM and the central electronic control module (CEM).
Possible causes
- Fault in the signal database between the SUM and the central electronic control module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in all control modules, clear them and road test the car to see whether the fault returns
- 2Has anything recently been done to the car, such as replacing a control module or its software? Tell the workshop
- 3Check that the relevant fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual
- 4Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check that the SUM configuration matches the CEM
