- One of the wires in the CAN network is short-circuited to voltage
- The wires in the CAN network are short-circuited to each other
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in all control modules, clear them and road test the car to see whether they return
- 2Check that the relevant fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual
- 3Check that the connectors in the CAN network are firmly fitted and not corroded
- 4Inspect the wiring for breaks, chafing and pinch damage, especially where it moves
- 5Has anything recently been done to the car? Tell the workshop if you take it in
- 6Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check communication with the brake control module and the CAN network
