What does this fault code mean?
The SUM has three internal power supplies that are monitored separately. This code concerns supply B, whose voltage is too high or too low, and it points to an internal fault in the SUM.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the suspension control module (SUM)
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector at the SUM is firmly fitted and free from corrosion
- 3Check that the suspension system fuses are intact; the owner's manual shows where they are
- 4Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check whether the fault is permanent; for a permanent internal fault the SUM is replaced, new software is downloaded and the control module is calibrated
