What does this fault code mean?
The SUM monitors its internal functions using its own software. The fault code is set when an internal software fault occurs in that monitoring software.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the suspension control module (SUM)
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and road test the car, then check whether the code comes back
- 2Check that the connector at the SUM is firm and free from corrosion
- 3If the fault returns, have a workshop decide whether the control module needs replacing, download new software and calibrate it
