What does this fault code mean?
The fault is permanent. The steering wheel module (SWM) has registered that the read button has been activated for too long, which means warning messages in the instrument cluster display cannot be cleared.
Possible causes
- The read button has been activated for too long
What you can do
- 1Check that the control is not sticking or stuck in the activated position
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, read the read button status in live data and check that it changes when you press the button
- 3If the control is free but the fault remains, have a workshop replace the switch at the read button

- Warning messages in the instrument cluster display cannot be cleared
- Clearing messages on the instrument cluster does not work
