What does this fault code mean?
The steering wheel module (SWM) has registered that the front and rear washer buttons on the wiper stalk were pressed at the same time for too long. The module treats that combination as invalid and stores the fault code.
Possible causes
- The front and rear washer switches have been active at the same time for too long
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the washer buttons on the wiper stalk do not stick or stay pressed
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the front and rear washer switches in live data and check that they are never active together
- 4If the code does not return after the road test, no further action is needed
- 5If the code returns, have a workshop check the stalk and the steering wheel module (SWM)
Symptoms you may notice1
- Rear window washer does not work
