What does this fault code mean?
The fault is permanent and present right now. The steering wheel module (SWM) has registered that several buttons were activated at the same time, so cruise control and the steering wheel buttons stop working. A workshop needs to decide which switch unit is the cause.
Possible causes
- Several buttons were activated at the same time
What you can do
- 1Check that the buttons on the steering wheel and on the cruise control have not stuck in the activated position
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the status of the buttons on each switch unit in live data and check for any button that shows active without being pressed
- 3Since the fault is permanent, have a workshop decide whether it is a switch unit or the wiring between the units
Symptoms you may notice2
- Cruise control does not work at all
- The steering wheel buttons stop working
