What does this fault code mean?
The control module has registered an internal fault in the circuit for one of the output stages that control the solenoids. The fault is intermittent, so it may have occurred on an earlier occasion without being active now.

- Defective transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1The fault is intermittent: clear the fault code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connectors to the transmission and the control module are secure and free from corrosion
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop check the transmission control module, which may be defective
Symptoms you may notice5
- The general orange warning lamp is lit
- The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is lit
- No lock-up function
- Gear shifts are harsh
- No gear shifts
What the fault can affect2
- The control module's emergency program (Limp-home) is activated
- There is a risk of too low line pressure in the transmission, which causes increased wear
