What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module has registered an internal fault. The control module stores current information, such as fault codes and adaptation values, in its memories, and the fault concerns the control module itself.
Possible causes
- Internal fault inside the transmission control unit (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Write down any other transmission fault codes before clearing anything
- 2Have a workshop replace the transmission control module; a new control module is supplied without software
- 3The new control module must be programmed by a workshop to work after the change; road test the car afterwards and read off the fault codes

- No gear changes
- Harsh gear shifting
