What does this fault code mean?
The control module has registered that the measured current in the circuit of solenoid SLC2 is incorrect, so SLC2 cannot regulate the system pressure. This can cause harsh gear changes, missed gear changes or slipping.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance in the connectors
- Open circuit in the control signal or signal ground wire
- Linear pressure solenoid SLC2 stuck
- Linear pressure solenoid SLC2 not working
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code, road test and see whether it returns
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the SLC2 solenoid value in live data and see whether it changes when gears are engaged
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the solenoid is not broken
- 4If the value does not change, the fault is permanent and a workshop should check the solenoid
- 5Have a workshop check the connectors to the control module for contact resistance and oxidation
Symptoms you may notice5
- The general warning lamp is lit
- The malfunction indicator lamp is lit
- Harsh gear changes
- Gear changes do not occur
- Gears slip abnormally
What the fault can affect1
- An auxiliary program in the control module is activated
