What does this fault code mean?
The calibration data in the transmission control module does not match after the information has been saved, because the checksum does not agree with the calculated one. The fault may lie in the software or in a damaged control module, and the car may then not move forward or in reverse when a gear is engaged.
Possible causes
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop reload the control module software, as the fault may lie in the software
- 2Have a workshop check the fault code status after reloading and clear the code if it has gone
- 3If the fault remains after reloading, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit and program it
Symptoms you may notice1
- No movement forward or in reverse when a gear is engaged
