What does this fault code mean?
The built-in monitor in the control module has found a condition that could damage the control module or the gearbox. The fault is due to a damaged control module or a fault in its software, and the engine may then not start or may stall while driving.
Possible causes
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop read the fault code status and reload the control module software
- 2If the fault remains after reloading, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit and program it
- 3After the repair, a workshop should check that the engine starts and runs without stalling
Symptoms you may notice2
- The engine does not start, sometimes or all the time
- The engine stalls while driving, sometimes or all the time
