What does this fault code mean?
The control module has registered that the wrong type of gearbox is fitted in the car. Two gearbox types look the same but have mechanical differences, and the control module can tell them apart using, among other things, the gear ratios.

- Wrong gearbox fitted in the vehicle
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check which gearbox type is fitted, since the two types look alike
- 2Have a workshop confirm the gearbox type against the vehicle's data before any part is replaced
- 3Once the gearbox type is confirmed, clear the fault code and road test to see whether it returns
