What does this fault code mean?
The safety valve CPCUT opens the clutches if several solenoids fail at the same time, and it is moved back and forth regularly so that it does not stick. The fault code is set when this movement of the valve does not work. The cause is either a damaged solenoid CCFS that stays constantly low, or a safety valve CPCUT that is stuck or sticking.
Possible causes
- Damaged solenoid CCFS, constantly low
- Damaged safety valve CPCUT, stuck or sticking
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes and clear TCM-0566. Drive the car to see whether the code returns
- 2Have a workshop open the transmission control system and check solenoid CCFS and safety valve CPCUT visually for oxidation, dirt and metal deposits
- 3If the fault cannot be found or fixed, a workshop must replace the mechatronic unit
Symptoms you may notice1
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
