What does this fault code mean?

The output stage for solenoid SHSS2, which controls the shifts for the even gears, is shorted to ground. The solenoid also controls the shift forks. The cause is a damaged or dirty connector or circuit board, a damaged solenoid, or a damaged transmission control module.

1Read the fault codes, clear TCM-0592 and drive the car with gear changes to see whether the code returns

4If the fault cannot be found or fixed, a workshop must replace the mechatronic unit
