What does this fault code mean?
The current in the circuit for the output stage of solenoid CSPS1, which controls the hydraulic pressure over the clutch for the odd gears, is too high. The fault is caused by damaged cables or a damaged circuit board, or by a damaged transmission control module.
Possible causes
- Damaged cables or circuit board
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes, clear TCM-05A2 and drive the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the cables and circuit board in the transmission with diagnostic equipment
- 3If the fault remains after this check, a workshop must replace the transmission control module
Symptoms you may notice5
- Malfunction Indicator Light (check engine) lit or behaving abnormally
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- No automatic gear changes
- No forward or reverse movement with a gear selected
- Shifts hard or jerky
