What does this fault code mean?
The current in the circuit for the output stage of solenoid CSPS2, which controls the hydraulic pressure over the clutch for the even gears, is too high. The cause is a damaged or dirty connector or circuit board, or a damaged transmission control module.
Possible causes
- Connector or circuit board damaged or dirty
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes, clear TCM-05B2 and drive the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors and circuit board in the transmission with diagnostic equipment
- 3If the fault remains after this check, a workshop must replace the transmission control module
Symptoms you may notice5
- Malfunction Indicator Light (check engine) lit or behaving abnormally
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- No automatic gear changes
- Shifts hard or jerky
- Shifts too early, too late or too often
