What does this fault code mean?
The hydraulic pressure on the clutch for the even gears is too high, which means there is pressure on the clutch when an even gear is engaged or disengaged. The fault may be caused by a low oil level, or by a damaged solenoid, valve CSM2 or pressure sensor.
Possible causes
- Low oil level
- Damaged solenoid
- Damaged valve CSM2, which routes the pressure between clutch and gear shifting
- Damaged pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes, clear TCM-05D2 and drive the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the transmission oil level. A low level can cause this fault
- 3Have a workshop open the transmission control system and inspect the solenoid and the oil level
- 4If the fault cannot be found or fixed, a workshop must replace the mechatronic unit
Symptoms you may notice5
- Malfunction Indicator Light (check engine) lit or behaving abnormally
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- Shifts hard or jerky
- No automatic gear changes
- Shifts too early, too late or too often
