What does this fault code mean?
The issue concerns the voltage that the central electronic control module (CEM) supplies to the transmission control module. The transmission control module has registered a fault in its comparison with that voltage. The cause may be poor contact in the transmission control module or gearbox connector, or a damaged transmission control module.
Possible causes
- Poor contact or oxidation at the connector on the transmission module or in the gearbox
- Damaged transmission control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact; their location is in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Check the connector at the transmission control module and the gearbox for contact resistance and oxidation
- 3Read the fault codes in the other control modules; if another module has a fault, troubleshoot it first
- 4Have a workshop check that the latest software is in the transmission control module and update it if needed
- 5If the fault code remains after these checks and causes problems, the gearbox may need replacing; have a workshop assess this
