What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module has registered a fault in one of the three driver stages that control the gearbox solenoids. The fault may be too high a current, an open circuit or too low a voltage from the driver stage. The other two driver stages can take over, but the function may then be heavily restricted.

What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Check whether the central electronic control module (CEM) has fault codes that could cause low supply voltage to the transmission module; troubleshoot those first
- 3Check the wires and connectors between the transmission control module and the CEM for oxidation and loose contacts
- 4Have a workshop check the supply voltage and replace the transmission control module or the mechatronic unit if the fault remains

- The malfunction indicator (Check engine) lamp comes on or behaves abnormally
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- No automatic shifting
- No movement forwards or backwards in gear
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work
