What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module has registered that the voltage to the position sensors for the even gears is too low. The cause may be a supply wire shorted to ground, damaged wires or connectors, or a damaged control module.

- Supply wire shorted to ground
- Damaged wires or connectors
- Damaged transmission control module
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2With the ignition off, check the wires and connectors to the position sensors for the even gears for chafing and loose contacts
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire has no contact with ground
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment, read the voltage to the position sensors in live data; if it is outside the normal range the fault most likely lies in the module
- 5Have a workshop replace the transmission control module or the mechatronic unit if the fault remains; a new module must be programmed

- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- No automatic shifting
- The automatic gearbox shifts harshly or jerkily
- Shifting takes too long
