What does this fault code mean?
The range sensor inside the transmission control module has registered an incorrect signal. The selector cable must be correctly fitted, adjusted and calibrated for the selected gear to always be right. The fault may be a cable that is wrongly fitted or a sensor that has not been calibrated.

- Selector cable wrongly fitted
- Gear range sensor not calibrated
What you can do
- 1Check that the selector cable is correctly adjusted; have a workshop adjust it if needed
- 2Move the selector through all positions and check that the position shown matches the one selected
- 3Have a workshop calibrate the range sensor and check that the fault code does not come back
- 4Clear the fault code after calibration and road test the car to see whether it comes back
