What does this fault code mean?
This is an event-driven code and does not indicate a fault in the control module. It describes the gear ratio of the selected gear being close to that of another gear, meaning the transmission seems to be stuck in 2nd gear. The code is always set together with another fault code, which is the real fault.
Possible causes
- Damaged linear solenoids in the transmission
- Damaged or worn clutch
- Poor fluid quality
- Mechanical faults in the transmission
- Worn transmission components causing slip or low system pressure
