What does this fault code mean?
The code is event-driven and does not indicate a fault in the control module where it is active. It is an information code related to the lock-up solenoid fault, and if TCM-P074200 is stored, that one should be dealt with first.
Possible causes
- The car rolled backwards while the selector lever was moved
- Engine stalled because it ran out of fuel
- Mechanical fault in the engine
- Lock-up was engaged incorrectly when the car stopped
- Lock-up solenoid has stuck
What you can do
- 1If code TCM-P074200 is stored, deal with it first, following its own instructions
- 2Then clear the codes and road test; this code does not need separate work
- 3If the fault returns, check that the fuel tank has not run empty and that the engine has not stalled at full steering lock at low revs

- The change from 1st to 2nd gear is delayed or hesitant
- The engine stalls when the car slows down
- The engine stalls when a gear is engaged from idle
- Lock-up does not work

- Lock-up is blocked until the control module no longer records an electrical fault for the function
- Neutral check is blocked
- Automatic engine start/stop is switched off
