What does this fault code mean?
One of the transmission solenoids, the one that regulates system pressure, receives less current than the control module requests. The fault therefore concerns the transmission's system pressure and can affect gear changes and transmission noise.
Possible causes
- Damaged solenoid
- Connector or circuit board damaged or dirty
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then road test to see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the oil level in the transmission and look over the solenoid
- 3Have a workshop inspect the solenoid connector and circuit board for oxidation, dirt and metal deposits, and clean or repair what is found
- 4If no fault is found, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit, since the fault then lies in the solenoid or the control module

- The malfunction indicator lamp (Check engine) comes on or behaves abnormally
- The transmission makes abnormal noise
- Gear changes are harsh or jerky
- Idle speed is high, or uneven
