What does this fault code mean?
One of the transmission solenoids, the one that regulates system pressure, draws more current than the control module requests, so it appears to have stuck in the on position. The fault concerns the transmission's system pressure and can affect drivability.
Possible causes
- Connector or circuit board damaged or dirty
- Damaged solenoid
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then road test to see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the transmission oil level, since the fault may be linked to how the solenoid works
- 3Have a workshop inspect the solenoid connector and circuit board, and clean or repair them if they are dirty or oxidised
- 4If no fault is found, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit, since the fault then lies in the solenoid or the control module
