What does this fault code mean?
This event-driven code indicates that the selected 7th gear has a ratio close to that of another gear, which may be caused by a clutch or brake B1 being engaged unintentionally. It is an information code and does not point to a fault in the control module where it is active.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or poor contact in the connectors to the linear pressure solenoids
- One or more linear pressure solenoids have stuck
- One or more linear pressure solenoids are damaged
- Clutch C1, C4 or brake B1 engaged unintentionally
What you can do
- 1Deal first with any other transmission fault codes, since they show the real fault
- 2Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop check the connectors and wiring of the linear pressure solenoids and the transmission's mechanics
Symptoms you may notice5
- Gear changes are harsh or jerky
- Gear changes take a long time
- Gear changes happen too early, too late or too often
- No automatic gear change
- No manual gear change
What the fault can affect3
- Adaptation function is blocked
- Neutral check is blocked
- A safe gear is engaged and held for a while before a new gear can be requested
