What does this fault code mean?
The control module detects an open circuit in the driver stage of a shift solenoid that cools the clutch and controls the shift pressure. The solenoid therefore cannot be controlled as it should, which can show in gear changes and when pulling away from a standstill.
Possible causes
- Connector or circuit board damaged or dirty
- Damaged solenoid
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop inspect the solenoid connector and circuit board and repair what is found
- 3If no cause is visible, the mechatronic unit needs replacing, which a workshop should do

- The car may feel underpowered when pulling away from a standstill
- No forward or reverse movement in gear
- Gear changes are harsh or jerky
- Gear changes take a long time
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
