What does this fault code mean?
The fault concerns the solenoid that controls cooling of the clutch for the odd gears, and it appears to be working incorrectly or stuck in the off position. The same solenoid also controls whether pressure goes to the shift or to the clutch, so that is affected too.
Possible causes
- Low transmission fluid level
- Damaged solenoid
- Valve CSM1, which directs pressure between clutch and shift, is damaged
- Damaged pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check the transmission fluid level first, since a low level can cause the fault, and top up if needed
- 2Read and clear the code, then road test to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop inspect the solenoid connector and circuit board for oxidation and dirt, and check the pressure sensor
- 4If no fault is found, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit, since the fault then lies in the solenoid, the valve or the control module
