What does this fault code mean?
The solenoid that cools the clutch for the even gears and controls the pressure between clutch and shift appears to be working incorrectly or stuck in the off position. The fault may also be caused by a low transmission oil level.
Possible causes
- Low transmission fluid level
- Damaged solenoid
- Damaged valve that directs pressure between clutch and shift
- Damaged pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check that the transmission oil level is correct, since a low level can cause the fault
- 2Read and clear the code, then road test to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop inspect the solenoid connector and circuit board for oxidation and dirt, and check the valve and pressure sensor
- 4If no fault is found, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit

- The malfunction indicator lamp (Check engine) comes on or behaves abnormally
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- Gear changes are harsh or jerky
- No automatic gear change
- Gear changes take a long time
